Hello Friends, Fans, Family and everyone in-between!!!,

Its been awhile and I hope this finds you well. Wanted to keep you updated on what's going on with us now and in the future!! Currently, Josh is working on a masters degree, Jason just opened a recording studio in Tacoma (Grit City Studios..."like" it on facebook if you would!!!), and Nick, well Nick is always in pursuit of music and is also playing in Aces Up (check them out if your into a more Southern sound).

The Joshua Cain Band is currently 4 songs into our new as yet to be titled album. We are bringing back most of our past collaborators and have even added a few (Matt Vuchetich for one is a fantastic song writer and guitar player). With the addition of Jason's new studio (sporting a Triton board), we now have unlimited access to experimentation which will show in our sophomore effort. So, look for that sometime next year.

As many of you know, before JCB, we were playing for years in a band called Glimpse. Well, this Saturday (Hells Kitchen, SAT OCT 23rd, 7.30, 21+, FREE), Glimpse will be playing its last ever show. So we'd like to say thanks to fans and former band mates (Troy, James, Mark, Terry, Aaron, Dewey, Olson and Robby...I hope we got em all!!). We had the time of our lives in that band, but its time to hang it up...so hope you can make it to the funeral....

Thanks again...

"Love the grit and beat... Fuzzy guitars with a clean slide behind it. And awesome acoustic sounds too! You guys rock." Daniel Palmer, AnR, www.ourstage.com

"The template for the band's sounds appears to be U2's Joshua Tree. The primary difference, however, is that U2 was made up of Irishmen expressing their discovery of American traditional music, whereas The Joshua Cain Band is a native Tacoma group re-translating its own musical language. " Dan Macintosh, Indie-Music.com

"The CD is high quality in terms of musicianship and recording production. The extremely accomplished guitar work is especially noteworthy, as are the outstanding vocals. The CD is an excellent addition to any collection" RadioIndy.com

Artist: Nora DeBolt

Nora DeBolt painting forsale $500.00

Please note: If it's determined that this painting isn't a print it will be sold at auction.

Iowa JohnBirchSociety - Aug. 5

Nora Debolt's work seems to have been picked up by a major print supplier for the chain department stores some 30 - 40 years ago.

The only actual original painting of hers I have seen online, not a print, went for $3,500.

Prints around $140, and that was poorly framed.

Hi Philip,

Thank you so much for sending the photos! You have a print from Nora's Garden Patio series, they are quite rare and I am convinced there will not ever be another printing from the Kaplan co. They are more prevalent on the east coast, and I can pretty much guarantee that hardly anyone in the west actually owns one. This print could easily sell on ebay for 100. or more depending on the collector. I hope this helps you.

I should be very happy to have that print..I think I would be the only one on the west coast that did...

Take care, and thanks!
Susan

Dear Susan,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I feel honored to own this print especially since I basically rescued it from the recycle bin.

Please let me know if you're ever interested in a purchase and if not I'll gladly keep it with my household goods throughout my worldly travels.

Also, I still can't tell if it's an original unless I take it out of the frame?

Again, many thanks and best wishes on your future endeavours.

Good Day,

Philip
