The numbers are in and they're quite impressive indeed on the world auto market.

These are only a few of the reasons that VW is dominating the world market.

However, the main reasons are the way they drive, save fuel and save lives.

* 4 - Number of consecutive years Volkswagen has been the best selling brand in the Netherlands (2005-2008).
* 6.23 million - Number of vehicles the Volkswagen Group sold worldwide in 2008
* 300 - Number of additional units per day Volkswagen's factory in Puebla, Mexico, will be capable of producing after its $1 billion expansion.
* 14 - Number of states in which Volkswagen Group of America operates facilities (Arizona, California, New Jersey, Georgia, Rhode Island, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Colorado).
* 1,546 - Number of Volkswagen models purchased by people in their 30s and 40s in Korea, where VW was the most popular imported car brand during the first half of 2009.
